Cazbah has been involved with Skills Cymru since its launch in 2011 with it’s partner Prospects.  It’s Wales’ largest series of careers, jobs, skills and apprenticeship events, bringing together young people, businesses, teachers and Welsh Government departments.  Over 10,000 people attend each year.
 

We developed and ran a volunteering programme, giving young people the opportunity to use their skills to gain experience in event management, social media, interviewing, presenting and interacting with both exhibitors and guests.
 

We approached schools and other organisations across Wales to contact and encourage the young volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds.

 

Results
 

Each event succeeded in delivering key messages around skills, apprenticeships and careers in an exciting and interactive way. The volunteers left with real experience on their CVs to use as a stepping stone to employment or further training.
